It was on April 25, 1946, that Ferreira de Sá opened its doors for the first time and started a journey that lasts until today. Joaquim Ferreira de Sá, the founder, found in Espinho a business opportunity linked to the production of carpets. Collaborating with a team of people with great qualities and experience in the sector, he founded Ferreira de Sá.
Technological advances combined with the desire to seek innovation have raised the quality of products and increased the speed of delivery. However, Ferreira de Sá continues to preserve some traditional techniques that were used in the “beginning”, which shows concern with history and the preservation of a received heritage.

After generations, Fernanda Barbosa, textile engineer and granddaughter of Joaquim Ferreira de Sá with her innovative vision, discovered by international means a new technique in the production of carpets: the “Hand-Tufting” or manual tufting. The technique consists of wire injection with the help of robots and has proved to be very important both in economic benefits and in the readiness and precision of production. Through this strong technological base and the simultaneous evolution in the design and production offices, the company started to produce an excellent product that supported its entry into the luxury market, where it operates until today.

A company located in the industrial area of Silvalde but with enormous recognition at national and international level, with a focus on extending all its limits.
